AMPTHILL MASONIC CENTRE

A Historic Home for Freemasonry in Ampthill

Set in the centre of Ampthill, the Old Court House has served the town in many different ways before becoming the home of Ampthill Masonic Centre.

THE OLD COURT HOUSE

From Court House to Masonic Centre

The building was used for many years as a Crown Court and Magistrates Court. It later became a public hall for many of Ampthill’s social activities, with concerts and balls regularly held within its walls.

After closing in 1963, the building remained unused for ten years before being purchased by three local masons as a centre for Masonic activities.
